Online Safety
At Fishponds CE Academy, we aim to keep our children safe at all times, including while they are online. Online Safety is taught every term across the school and recapped whenever we use the computers to support our curriculum. We also take part in Safer Internet Day (February) which allows us to join forces across the globe to work:
"Together for a better internet".
To compliment everything we have in place, we ask you, as parents and carers, to be aware of how to keep your children safe online and to ensure they are using the internet appropriately.
If your children are young they can use safer search engines such as Kiddle or Kidrex.
We take every opportunity to help all parents and carers to feel comfortable with issues related to online safety. If you have any questions about this, please speak to Mr Hodgkin (Year 2 Teacher and Computing Lead) or your child's class teacher. If you are worried about your own online safety then please speak with a trusted adult in school. Our safeguarding team are here to help!
